Born in Warsaw, the artist now lives and works in Thueringen , Germany. His creative work began over 20 years ago as a tattoo artist dealing with graphics. During this time working in studios in Poland, Holland and Germany he has honed his skills in this area to perfection. During this time thousands of sketches have been made for his ongoing work.
Over time, initially using acrylics the artist developed and refined his technique before switching to oils. Inspiration has been the work of Gierymski , Aivazovsky, the portrait grandmaster Seybold, and the graphic novel illustrator Grzegorz Rosinski. However, the artist’s biggest influence is nature; its beauty and mystery combined with its brutal power. The final, but no less important part of the artist’s oeuvre is classical music, which accompanies him throughout his work.
The artist rejects what is easy and fast, done badly, or is aimed at only the idea of controversy. Each image is preceded by a series of sketches and studies, which has the same composition as the setting of a scene at the theatre. He attaches great importance to careful drawings of anatomy and perspective, departing from realism only in specific cases – to emphasise the desired effect. The defining characteristics of the artist are precision and delicacy with the use of a wide palate of colours.
